The second port on our Alaska cruise was Icy Strait Point. It's a port built by the cruise lines just outside the village of Hoonah.
This was our first glimpse of it. I also saw my first eagles while looking at this view!
The cruise lines built museums and shops here.
There's also a nature trail through beautiful forest. It was so beautiful and quiet there.
We then walked into the town of Hoonah, about a mile away. I was eager for some exercise and it was a nice morning for a walk.
And we had several bald eagle sightings on the way!
It was a lovely, unstressful day in port!
